I am a therapist and facilitator, informed by over two decades of work and training in the healing fields. I bring my deep learnings both personally and professionally in Psychology, Psychotherapy, Psychodrama, Relationship Coaching and Aware Parenting to my work. I am also well versed in the somatic and energetic realms through my experiences as a Qoya teacher, Arvigo Therapist and Mayan Spiritual Healer.

I have been passionate about health for many years, in particular, the interaction between the health of the physical body and emotional well-being or lack of.

I completed my first therapeutic massage and reflexology course when I was 18. From there my graduate and post-graduate degrees were in Health Science and Psychology. My hunger for learning and health led me to train in a wide range of healing modalities.

I researched Chronic Fatigue Syndrome in my final year at university and completed a dissertation. This fuelled my interest and understanding of health as a multi-dimensional subject

I first came across the Arvigo Techniques of Maya Abdominal Therapy® in 2012, when I was undergoing IVF treatment, and looking for ways that might assist this process. I found a practitioner in Auckland, I think the only one in New Zealand back then, there are a few more now! I fell pregnant 3 months later. I am honoured to now be able to work with clients using these techniques myself.

When I was 8 months pregnant and desperate to dance in March 2013, I came across Qoya, and fell in love. I danced Qoya every month from then and completed the Qoya Teacher Training program early 2017. It brings together so many things that I adore, as a movement practice, a way in which to balance and return to myself, and also a beautiful way to connect with other women.

With my little one about five weeks old, walking up and down the hall, constant jigging, and not knowing what to do when my daughter cried, I knew I needed some more information than what I currently had. A good friend gave me a copy of Aware Baby by Aletha Solter. The principles, ideas, and philosophies deeply resonated with me. I read all of her books within the next few months and travelled to Australia when my daughter was one, to start the journey of becoming an Aware Parenting Instructor.

One of the key principles of Aware Parenting is that parents ‘do their own work’. As a parent myself I became very engaged in this process and wanted to focus on this also in my work with others. I completed a foundational year of Psychotherapy at AUT and have continued supervision and training in this field for the past 5 years.

I now work with a wide range of people, and as a therapist bring all of my experience and training into my work.

My work as a therapist focuses on healing and empowering each individual, to be able to love and act freely, in a manner that is truly authentic to them.
