Remember your Essence - Qoya Auckland - Pukekohe
Next Qoya class: Thursday 15th August, 6.30pm - 8.30pm. Soul Tree Yoga Studio, Pukekohe.
Theme: Remember your Essence. During this class we will dance with remembering your essence. What is it that has you connect in with yourself? Is it a certain time in your life that you recall that holds this for you, a favourite place that you like to visit, being in nature, connecting with animals, a song, a specific smell, a place in your home where you love to hang out?
Through movement you can also remember your essence, especially when you move in a way that is lead by your body, in a way that feels good to move. When you are able to slow down and connect with how it feels and let go of being externally focused, on how it looks, on how others are viewing you, this gives you access to you on a deeper level.
Movement as medicine.
During this class we will also be doing a Closing the Bones ceremony which is a Central American tradition, which will give you the opportunity to deeply relax. Thanks to Samar Ciprian for bringing this to Qoya in the way it will be shared here.
For those new to Qoya, Qoya is a movement and embodiment practice that brings together dance, yoga, feminine movement and community.
No previous dance or yoga experience necessary.
Bookings essential, spaces are limited to 10 people.
Cost $22 per class.
